Idyllic

Idyllic -- I borrowed that word from Mr. W today after he used it to describe the view from our window on our jaunt to the Lake District. We traveled by train, by bus, by boat, and by foot to explore this quaintly beautiful area in England's northwest. The hilly countryside is dotted with sheep and goats and hedgerows and stone walls and stone cottages, and farmhouses, not to mention a castle or two. Other than that perfect word, the only way to begin to do justice to William Woodsworth's cottage at Grasmere, or England's largest lake, Lake Windermere, or to delightful market towns like Ambleside is to show you some pictures so you can see for yourself. Wish you were here!

Nancy - thanks so much for keeping us so updated. You and Ben both have wonderful pictures and messages on your blogs. We are all enjoying reading them. Do you mind if I let Stefanie Berardi (our communications person) look at them. We are thinking of using some of your pictures for recruitment brochure in August. Is that OK with you? Once England gets in your blood, you will never forget it. Marilyn K. Moore

Nancy,
Must be with no voice that a good time is being had along with many pints. Glad to see such beautiful pictures. All I can say is that it is only Friday of the weekend. Voice or no voice, hop a train to somewhere for the day or rest of the weekend. Remember, sleep when you get home. Enough bossing, have a pint for me.
